ECG Workshop
ECG Workshop
Our ECG course is intended for those who undertake ECGs in clinical practice such as healthcare support workers, healthcare assistants, assistant practitioners and registered nurses.
We give an overview of what a 12 lead ECG is and why ECGs are performed. The anatomy and physiology of the heart and its conduction system will be examined and course delegates will be shown how to recognise a normal ECG.
Healthcare assistants or assistant practitioners do not normally undertake the interpretation of ECGs in clinical practice. However this course will enable this group of staff to record technically safe and accurate ECGs, and be able to troubleshoot any difficulties encountered.
This course includes a practical lesson in placing chest leads on an ECG mannequin.
This course is usually delivered as a half-day workshop.
